Each partner focuses on the importance of intergenerational dialogue and recommendation of the EU’s theme for 2012 as European Year for Active Ageing. Six partners decided to implement this project based on personal memories and experience of the elders and mutual learning among generations aiming at:
– supporting intergenerational dialogue both on local and European level;
– supporting the development of European citizenship with participating representatives of different generations and countries;
– strengthening a network of European organisations providing intergenerational activities.
Activities undertaken within the partnership will be as follows:
– analyzing and sharing good practices in partner countries on intergenerational communication;
– organizing online forum for participants from different countries to facilitate sharing of experience;
– transferring knowledge of story telling methods learned in previous partnership;
– adapting partners experience when organizing local activities aiming at building intergenerational networks within the communities;
– organizing local intergenerational activities within communities, preparing pictures of stories, capturing stories on video;
– collecting memories and stories from local communities and bringing them to European level during international events;
– compiling partnership experience by developing collection of European stories and short video.
